There was a split second there where his like, “wait, what? bro what are you doing?”
On more serious note, PTSD dogs for veterans are so fucking therapeutic. They’re like the one person you can spill your guts to and never worry about ever being judged or have that secret divulged. There are times when I definitely prefer the company of a dog over a human.
Therapy animals save lives.
These dogs are even still so much more amazing. They check rooms before their handler enters, so they can clear it to help the person feel safe. Like in the gif, they are there when panic attacks or nightmares occur, to be something for the person to help ground themselves on, or yes just to turn on the lights. Even more amazing, many people are able to reduce their medication when they have a PTSD service dog there to help them. These dogs are useful for not just veterans, but also victims of abuse, accident trauma, natural disasters, and others. Their training allows them to be useful in situations where medical assistance is needed, as well. Some PTSD dogs are trained to recognize repetitive behaviours in handlers, and signal the handler to break the repetition and stopping the behaviour and possibly injury.
Service dogs in general are just awesome. Remember to respect any that you see out in public. They are not there for you to walk up to and play with, even the puppies!
do you ever just stop to think about lucifer
and how he was in the pit for millennia
scheming and plotting every single tiny detail of his rise to power
thinking through everything that could possibly go wrong, and creating hundreds of backup plans for each scenario
and the one thing that he didn’t plan for
the one thing that was his downfall
was sam winchester loving his brother more than anything in the entire universe
do you ever just think about that
"But somewhere else, OK? A duplex, or an apartment… I don’t think a condo."
And he said “No, not a condo.”
This is a kinetic typography short I created because I absolutely adore Dylan Marron’s voice work for Carlos the Scientist, and I wanted to do something special for it. :]
While the visual is all me, the audio is from the Live at The Bell House recording of Condos, which you should totally buy in full here if you haven’t heard it yet: [x
This is beautifully done. Got me squealing and rolling around crazily again.

Yes but the question in my case is will the casualty when the tower of cards falls be someone else, or will Dean simply take out himself?
While I’m not ruling out the possibility that someone else will be a casualty of the fallout that is coming, I am absolutely positive that Dean is going to take himself out— perhaps only symbolically, i.e. losing his humanity, but a death of self is definitely coming for him and it is going to be set off by the implosion between him and Sam.
That’s my take too… this last set of episodes have read like a drawn out hospice stay to me except only Dean knows that’s how it actually ends. Which is horrendous enough already, but the worst of it is I’m all but positive Sam is so busy being worried and frustrated by what he sees as Dean stubborn refusal to change/share his trouble that he basically has no clue as to what Dean intends. He’s only going to recognize the suicide note for what it was in hindsight.
I’m just wondering if when this does all come to a head, is this going to result in Sam risking his life for Dean? I feel like again and again it is being uttered “he wouldn’t trade his life for yours” when we know he actually would if that came about in a way that didn’t violate his agency. But I do wonder how that can be achieved in a manner that isn’t taking 10 steps backwards right back into the co-dependency, when that is clearly something they’re not aiming to do….
I am admittedly uncertain how this will end, but I do know something has to give. Something has to happen to get them from Alex + Mama vamp, to Alex and Jody.
Maybe in the end it will come down to a choice. It will come down to Sam letting Dean choose what he wants. Maybe if he shows Dean that he can choose what is best for him, Dean will be able to see that Sam is capable of choosing what is best for himself.
I think Dean isn’t going to be saved by Sam. It’s going to be Cas. But not before Sam realizes his own erasure from existence was Dean’s intent. And then they’ll be next Season with Dean still depressed and possibly still suicidal/mourning Cas/doing penance, with Sam along for the ride trying to figure out where they had a disconnect a d how to fix it, probably with the reinforcements he didn’t know he needed this season.
Well, same…if it comes down to a scenario where one or the other is trying to break through to him, it will definitely be Cas. But I’m more just wondering right now where Sam and Dean will end up at the end of this season and how all of that will tie together. Like…I wonder if there is going to be a huge blowup between them (reminiscent of When The Levee Breaks), or if there will be some failed attempt on Sam’s part at resolution…a resolution he obviously will not get because Act 2…
#”If you want.”#Gahhhhh such a profound focus on consent and allowing someone else their own personhood.#Even though Jodi really wants to be the one to help pick Alex back up again#she’s still willing to let Alex decide if she wants that too#and is ready to respect whatever choice Alex makes.
